Daniel Sciacca has been appointed as Assistant Coach of the FAF U17 National Futsal Team that will compete in the Asociación Mundial de Futsal – AMF C-17 Futsal World Cup!
Daniel began playing futsal from the age of 4, he then decided to take up coaching in 2013. Travelled to the USA multiple times to work alongside Roxy Kamal at Gamer Futsal School as well as the US Women’s Program. Had 2 stints in Belo Horizonte, Brazil the second one working under Felipe Furtado de Barros at Olympico.
Back in Australia, Daniel coached at 2 high schools with high performance programs. Coached across a range of age groups with a main focus on U20. Currently Daniel is with River City Futsal Club in the senior high performance program.
Daniel has already started working closely with Vinicius Leite in identifying the top Under 17 Futsal Players from around Australia.
The first training camp for the top 40 or so U17 players identified will be held in Brisbane on the 24th of April with future training camps planed to select the final squad that will travel to Chile to compete in the World Cup.
Federation of Australian Futsal would like to welcome Daniel to the FAF Technical Staff as we continue to develop young Futsal Players for the Future.
